Stu the Piano Man
Feb. 4
Ashling on the Lough tu was born on December 14, 1972, and grew up just across the border in Illinois. Stu spent much of his growing up years listening to music and was always fascinated with the piano. When he was 9 his parents rented a piano for a year to see if he would stick with the lessons before buying the piano. He still have the same piano today. Stu started creating his own original music at age 11. After high school, Stu sang and danced with several other college students at The Heidel House Resort & Conference Center in Green Lake, WI. He began solo playing and singing publicly in February, 2004 by walking into a local bar that didn't have entertainment for the night. He had some of his own equipment in the car and asked the owner if he could play in his bar for tips and beer. He agreed. Stu recorded and released his first CD, Looking for Change, back in January, 2007. Stu is a repeat for SouthFest and we are happy to have him back.
