Shirley D. Thompson, 79, of Kenosha, died Tuesday Feb. 2, 2010, at her home. Born on July 14, 1930, in Escanaba, Mich., she was the daughter of Elroy and Edith (Peterson) Andrews. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and was a 1948 graduate of Bradford High School. She married Billy A. Thompson on June 30, 1951, in Kenosha. She was employed at Snap-On as an administrative assistant to the plant manager for 20 years. She was a member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included collecting angels, knitting, and she was a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan.

Survivors include three children, Matthew (Renee) Thompson of Kenosha, A. Elizabeth Thompson of Nevada, and James (Soraya Feicht) Thompson of Kenosha; a sister, E. Beverlee (Robert) Boehm of Bristol; five grandchildren, Jamie, Tyler, Tara, Austin, and Billy Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A. Thompson; three brothers, William, George, and Burton Andrews.
A memorial service will be Monday Feb. 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. from Holy Nativity Lutheran Church 2313-17th Ave. Kenosha.
