Joseph Salinas Santos
1916 -- 2010

Joseph Salinas Santos, Sr., 93, of Kenosha, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at Woodstock Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born March 18, 1916, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Ruperto and Epemenia (Salinas) Santos.

Joseph served in the United States Army during WWII. He came to Kenosha from San Antonio in 1954.

In 1945, in San Antonio, he married Raquel Ramon. She preceded him in death. In 1977, he was united in marriage to Carol Johnson. She also preceded him in death.

Joseph was employed with AMC for many years retiring as an inspector in 1977. He enjoyed dancing and watching the World News and the Lawrence Welk Show on television.

He is survived by four sons, Armando (Kathy), Joseph Jr., Roberto, and Alfonso (Priscilla) Santos; and four daughters, Olga (Richard) Tijerina, Yolanda (James) Adams, Sylvia (William) Guelzo, and Gloria Brown. He is further survived by his 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Olivia Garza; a grandson, Sacramento Garza Jr.; a granddaughter, Amanda Brown; and a sister, Consuelo Rendon,

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Private interment will take place in St. James Cemetery. A visitation for Joseph will be held on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
