Joyce Angelici Gename
1933 -- 2010

Joyce Angelici - Gename, 76, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at United Hospital Systems - St. Catherine's Campus.

Born in Kenosha on March 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Clemons) Stoebe.

In February, 1951, in Kenosha, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Angelici. He preceded her in death in Sept. 2000. On March 17, 2007, at First Christian Church, she was united in marriage to James Gename.

Joyce began her working career with George Connolly at Connolly Foods that was located on 22nd Avenue. She then was employed with National Tea, Jewel and Piggly Wiggly. In 1986, she retired from Piggly Wiggly as an assistant head clerk.

She was a member of First Christian Church and the Retail Clerks Union. Joyce was very active in The Shriners and was involved in their many causes including their various fund raising projects. She also was a poll worker at Roosevelt and Jeffrey Elementary Schools.

Joyce is survived by her husband, James Gename; her mother, Hazel Sarich; three children, Larry (Faith) Angelici, Sally (Kenneth) Hohenstein and Terri (Fred) Lawler; her three step-children, Roger (Margaret) Gename, Russell (Sharon) Gename and Robin (Phillip) Wade; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Harry (Nancy) Stoebe.

Along with her parents and first husband, Lawrence; she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Stoebe.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd. Private entombment will take place in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to First Christian Church would be appreciated by the family.
