There seems to be a conflict of interest going on at Lakewood School in Twin Lakes. The school board is being pointed at as overstepping their position as board members. I am confused. Are we?
A select group seems to be accusing our board president of micromanaging. If they are pointing a finger at Mr. Dunn, I take it as pointing a finger at all of us.
They — Paul Chodak and his concerned parents — have started a recall against Mr. Dunn.
I have called Paul a couple of times hoping that he would answer some of my questions but he has chosen not to return my phone calls.
I have talked with many staff members at Lakewood and they don’t understand what is going on.
The rumors that are flying through the streets of Twin Lakes are just rumors.
Not one person who is with the concerned group has called to verify any of the issues that are being circulated. They just started attending board meetings in November. I can’t understand how they can presume things with two board meetings under their belts.
I have four children who all graduated from Lakewood. We began our career here in 1977 and I was a very active member of the PTO. After my last child graduated I decided to run for a position on the board.
I love this school. It has been a part of my life for many years.
So please, if you have any comments, complaints, concerns or ideas to keep this wonderful district for all to be proud of, let me know.
In my 11 years as a member of the board many exciting and wonderful programs have been installed for the kids. Paul was a part of this up until last year and was always in agreement with our decisions.
You can drop a note to me in the front office — no name is necessary.
I look forward to hearing from you
