This is in response to the settlement reached by the family of Michael Bell.

You suffered the loss of your son/brother. But ask yourself whose bad choices led to this loss? Michael Bell was out that night drinking and driving. Michael Bell was the one who was resisting arrest. Michael Bell was the one who reached for the officer’s weapon.

Clearly Michael Bell made wrong choices that night, and he paid for it with his life.

The Bells should donate the money from the settlement to a organization such as the Boys and Girls Club, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, or to some other worthwhile cause. Perhaps then something positive can come from this.
