*Defense: Colts defensive coordinator Larry Coyer held that same position at Iowa State University from 1995 to 1997. In 1995 and 1996, one of his starting defensive linemen was Tremper graduate Rudy Ruffolo.

*Mudd slide: Colts offensive line coach Howard Mudd crossed paths with Carthage graduate Jim Jodat in Seattle. Jodat, a running back, was with Seattle in 1980 and 1981. Mudd coached the Seahawks offensive line from 1978 to 1982.
*ISU: Bill Teerlinck, the Colts defensive line and special teams coach, was at Illinois State in 2005 and 2006. In 2005, Tremper graduate Tristan Borizick was at the school.
*BTW: Wide receiver Pierre Garcon was in prep school when Mount Union, the college he would attend, defeated Carthage College 38-20 Dec. 8 2004 in a Division III third round game in Ohio.
Saints
Dan Dalrymple is head of the Saints strength and conditioning program. Prior to joining the Saints, he worked for 16 years at Miami University (Ohio) as director of athletic conditioning.
While the football team was a focus of his efforts, Dalrymple and his staff created workout regimens for every athletic program. That included the hockey program, which featured Kenosha’s Matt Medvecz, who played for the school from 2000 to 2003.
