Reuther takes care of Keith to move to 2-0
Despite shooting 21 percent from the field, the Reuther boys basketball team stomped Keith 56-34 in an Indian Trails Conference game in Rockford, Ill., Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs (2-0) led 9-2 after one and then exploded for 22 points in a press-filled second quarter in turning the game into a rout.
“We did a nice job of pressuring the second quarter,” Reuther coach Steve Plato said.
Marcus Ratliff scored eight of his game-high 14 points in the second quarter as the Bulldogs took a 31-10 lead at the break.
Reuther led 45-18 after three.
Justyn Galloway, battling an ankle injury, scored seven points with eight assists while Eric McCray scores eight points and Johnny Galloway five.
“A lot of kids played off the bench and we had a lot of balance,” Plato said.
